Amsterdam

we're here. our flights were ok. we got to our hotel before it was ready, so we were able to visit the city. we found this little cafe that had good small sandwiches. our room is small and cute. it' mostly white with some half naked girl on it. the first night, we went to some pubs and drank as we looked around the red light district. our hotel is in the red light district. yesterday we took a canal cruise and viewed the city that way. it was so nice. we also visited some museums, even the van gough museum. we bought a bottle of red wine, some cheese, and crackers and headed back to our hotel. today we hung out in vonelpark and watched lots of birds and dogs play in the water. everyone here rides bikes everywhere. you have to cross the street and watch for scooters, buses, trains, cars and bikes. you can't space out wacthing things pass by, you have to be aware of waht's around you. we are having a blast here. we can't wait to visit brussels next. on our way, we will visit the haag. we'll keep you posted as we go.

We're ready!

So, we're ready to go! Our bags are packed and everything is in order. We started to get on Europe time. On Friday, we went to bed at midnight, got up at 6am on Saturday. Saturday we went to bed at 9pm, and got up on Sunday (today) at 3am. Tonight, we're going to bed at 6pm (and we're ready to go now,) and we'll get up at midnight. My parents are taking us to the airport, they pick us up at 6am tomorrow. In case we forget something, we have plenty of time. We're exhausted and ready for bed! We just have some very last minute things to do (charging batteries and things like that).
We arrive in Amsterdam 8:30am (their time). We can't wait! I'll try to update as much as possible.

Stephen Lynch in SF

On Thursday, I got off of work early and Jason got home from school early. We met at the house and started off to San Francisco. We had tickets to go see Stephen Lynch in concert. For those of you who don't know, Stephen Lynch is the best and funniest comedian alive. He sings everything and plays his guitar. He is hilarious! We got to SF about 3 (the concert started at 8). We needed some coffee and hung out at this cute little coffee shop. We then headed to China town. Jason loves these little bowls they have they, and I've always wanted my own pair of chopsticks. After wards, we grabbed something to eats and some beers at Murphy's Pub.
We parked so close to the actual concert (the warfield) and just needed to walk a few blocks. Once we got in and found our way to our section, we couldn't figure out how to find our seats, The nice guy at the door informed me it was general admission of the floor. While Jason got us some beers, I found us some seats in the 4th row (almost center). People kept shouting out other artists songs, and he would make fun of the people asking for them. Here's a video of the Purple Rain song he did. This tour was called "3 Balloons Tour". He cam on tour with 2 other guys (hints 3 balloons). One guy looked exactly like a younger version of Jeff Daniels (Lynch even said he liked him in Dumb & Dumber. I laughed so hard, and even cried at couple of songs. Lynch was definitely worth the drive and the $25 parking garage fee.

He Did it!!

Jason passed his Spanish class with a B! I'm so proud of him. He worked so hard to study and he did it!I love you baby!

15 days and counting

We are so close to our vacation! I'm trying not to think about it too much. I'm trying to keep busy (which is pretty easy). We had a garage sell yesterday. We made a good deal of money. That money is going toward our vacation. We got up at 4:45 am to set up (at my parents), and started selling about 6:30 or so. It's always been amusing to me how people show up in groups. For a while no one will be around, then you have ten people. After we took everything down and packed up to come home. I grabbed some dinner for us and Jason took down all the signs. After we ate, we slept for a while then woke up and went to bed. We woke up at 10pm and took Roxy for a walk. We stayed up until about 3am. I thought our sleeping patterns were going to be completely off. But, we woke up about 8:45 this morning. Not too bad.

On Thursday, it's going to be a short day for me at work and Jason at school. We have tickets to see one of our favorite musicians, Stephen Lynch. He's a comedian that signs all his songs and plays the guitar. He's hilarious! So, we get to play hooky and spend half the day in SF.
