A Big Group of Friends

Not much has been going on. We're just enjoying the time of our girls being kittens. Mickey has been playing the part of dad. He bats at the when they're being bad and washes them when they need to be cleaned. We're giving him so much attention, that he still gets annoyed at us.

Here's Mickey enjoying his dinner. Look at that tongue.

Izzie smiling for the camera. The girls love to lay on their backs on the couch.

This is what happens every night. I try to stay p with Jason and I end up falling asleep. The girls love it when they get to cuddle with me. Scout is at my head and Izzie is next to my arm.

Scout in our fruit bowl. Yes, she is that tiny! She only weights 4 pounds, and Izzie weighs 5 pounds.

Jason and Izzie (she's squinting because they both had an eye infection, they're doing great now).

Izzie loves looking out the windows.

Mickey in his new box in the bedroom.

From left to right: Mickey, Scout and Izzie. They can finally share!!

Scout is getting more and more lovable. Izzie is very talkative. They both love to cuddle and play. Izzie has a hard time sitting still for very long. She also loves to wake Jason up in the early morning hours. Scout still likes to sleep under our bed. She comes out when I get up in the morning. Mickey is trying to find his new quiet places where the girls can't go. It's almost impossible!

Our Girls

On Saturday, we got up nice and early (10am), top pick up our additions to our family. Yes, we are the crazy cat family now. We picked up our two kittens. When we first got home, Mickey wasn't so sure he was up for this. He mostly observed.

Here he is with Izzie having a starring contest in their first few hours together.

Izzie is super lovable. She loves being around people. She'll follow you from room to room and be right next to your feet (luckily, we haven't stepped on her yet). She loves attention and her new sister (the 2 girls aren't litter mates). Izzie is completely black (accept for maybe 10 white hairs) and about 4 months old.

Here Izzie is with Jason.

Izzie, again on top of the couch. I'm right there with Scout.

Scout is super playful and loves any toy you show her. She is our explorer, hits her name. She is also super lovable and loves being around people. If left in a room by herself, she'll seek out people (or another animal). Scout is about 10 weeks old and has dark coat. When you look closely, you can see a ton of white hairs. We think she will turn out to be a gray cat. She is super tiny and bony (not starving, just a tiny cat). When she's in a lovable mood, she gives you these sad little cries. I think she lost her mother too early is looking to feed.

Here is Scout laying in her normal spot (when Izzie isn't hogging it). She likes to lay on her back.

Mickey is doing very good with everything. Everyone is now friends and loves playing with one another. Mickey and Izzie share the window seal every night and he plays a lot with Scout. There is no more growling, hissing or arching of backs. Everyone is everyones best friends.
This was a perfect 3 day weekend to get everyone use to one another. I'm glad I had the time off.
