Thanksgiving & Japanese Dinner

Jason and I both had 4 consecutive days off together. It was pretty nice. It's been so long since we had have 4 days off together. We've been watching movies, reading, enjoying yummy dinners are our great company together.

For turkey day, we went to my parents house. That morning was pretty lazy morning. I hung around the house reading and relaxing and Jason was on his computer.

We enjoyed some wine on turkey day.

Here I am helping my mom get the gravy out of the pan.

She made an incredible dinner for everyone!

Last night, it was Japanese dinner for us. Here's our Miso Soup.

Here's the Sheildzini (cucumber salad).

The green beans and Yakisoba Chicken.

Fr our beverage, of course, we had some Sake. We prefer ours chilled. We had bought some Moochi for dessert. Everything else was home made from scratch. I love doing this once a month. It's so much fun and it shows my cooking skills.
We just decorated the house for x-mas. No tree for us. We don't have that much room and our 2 kittens would go crazy climbing the tree. Maybe some day. Next weekend is going to be so busy. I'll love it!

Apple Hill & Kittens

Last weekend, Jason and I went to Apple Hill. I chose this weekend because I thought people wouldn't be getting their pumpkins for Halloween, or the x-mas trees. It was the perfect weekend. It was a little chilly when we got up there, but it warmed up a little. Not too many were there, but it wasn't dead, either.

We went to High Hill first and grabbed some lunch, then we walked to one of the local wineries. This was our view headed up there. It was only about a 1 mile walk.

We're going to right direction!

We love to stop and enjoy ourselves when we want. It was so beautiful!

We made it.

There were a few couples inside already tasting. It was fun. We did this a few years ago. We bought a couple of bottles and headed back.

I wanted to stop off at the Fudge Factory to pick up a couple of things. Here's the pond where you can go fishing. Great view!

We went on a VERY small nature trail walk and took some pictures.

Here's another picture. This was at Grandpa's Cellar. The pie was good, but not much to see or do.

Here are some apples we picked up. With these, I made some apple sauce, apple butter, and apple chips. Very yummy!!

On another story, our little girls are growing up so fast! Here's Izzie and her monkey! Such a big hug...

Me and Scouttie-poo. She's my cuddle monkey. She follows me around the house crying for me to pick her up. Once I do, I carry her in my left arm while I do things around the house. She never moves and she is completely happy with this. Every night, she sits on my desk and helps me blog.

Up close and personal with Izzie.

Here's Scout on the sink. They both love to sit on it and watch the water drain down the sink and try to steal a lick before it does.

I love Scout's with tuff on her chest. She's so cute...they both are.
