Girls Night Out

A couple weeks ago, Jason and I had a garage sale (at my parents). We did pretty well. We sold the bigger things we wanted to sell (except for a stupid table). We made out pretty well. We didn't have much, but we went home with less. That's all that matters.

The night before the garage sale, me and some of my friends met up for our monthly Girls Night Out. We wanted to go somewhere, and not be stuff inside some one's house. Amy had a great idea of going to Folsom's Concert in the Park. We each brought some sort of food (as usual) and we had a picnic. We had some great food!

Here's the band that played. Their name is AZUR. They are a classic rock band. They played some pretty good tunes!

Lots of people were dancing. There was this crazy, tan, drunk guy that was trying to dance with anyone and everyone out there. We kept betting that his pants were going to fall down. It came pretty close a few times, but never happened. We were VERY glad, especially because there was this little girl dancing behind him.

No, I don't know who these kids are, but they were so cute. They were holding hands, hugging and kissing. It was too cute!

We had a pretty busy last weekend. I will blog about that this coming weekend. I have a lot to blog about!
Not much is new. Jason's still working for Gap, and looking for a job. I'm still working at the same place. I have started a new blog about running and good foods that help fuel me for my 1/2 marathon training. Check it out and leave comments: www.runnersfuel.blogspot.com. I am currently finishing up week 9 of training. I have only 10 months of training left. At least I know I will be fully prepared for my BIG race in May. I can't wait! Until this weekend! I hope everyone has a great rest of your week!

Zombie Walk

On Saturday, we went to 2nd Saturday in downtown Sacramento. We usually go once a year in the summer time. Usually, the hotter the weather, the more the people (and more fun). When we were trying to find a parking spot, we kept seeing people dressed as zombies. If you know me at all, you know that I love zombies. They rock!!

After we finally found a parking spot, we started walking around. That's when we saw more and more zombies. I think we saw about 40 zombies right there walking on the street. I was determined to find out what was going on.

Here's one zombie we ran into. I didn't have the guts to ask these people to pose, but Jason did. That's why I love him. What a creepy guy. He was pretty, too (which made him even creepier).

These ladies had awesome makeup. I wish we would have know this was going on. We would have dressed up. We were zombies for Halloween. We also had awesome makeup.

There was a band playing some Ozzy music. They were all dressed up. After talking to some people, we found out that there was a Zombie Walk going on. When we were looking for a spot, that's when they walking doing their walk. They had an entire walk planned. After the band was finished playing, they were going to a bar and hanging out. Such an awesome night!

Like we didn't know about the Zombie Walk, so we went for the art. A great free night. This is something that we found. We loved his type of art. I is a little cartoony and fun. Great features.

During 2nd Saturday, galleries offer free wine and crackers with cheese. This is some wine we had. It was good wine, but mostly, I loved the label. I wish I could have read the label, but I couldn't make it out (even when we were there).

A lot of things are going on here, so we are on a very tight budget. I'm still trying to fins things to do that are free, so we can still enjoy our summer. This Friday is girls' night, and we're going to a free music in the park in Folsom. The weekend after, we're going to the same thing, but in Rocklin (a lot closer). This one will be a couples thing. Well, I have to go and try to catch up on some shows I DVR'd. I'm running very behind (96% full). I only keep recording.

Happy 4th!

Everyone waiting for the show to start (and for it to get dark)

This is Michael, he is my new boyfriend. He was so cute. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and then told me that he loved me. I know Jason was so jealous

Preparing some of our fireworks.

These are all very big fireworks this year

Such great food!

Jason getting cornered by Jesse in their water gun fight

On Sunday, I got up early and did my standard workout and was able to squeeze in some time to lay by the pool. After an afternoon of movies and relaxing with the bestest guy, we got ready and headed over to Patrick's for his annual BBQ/Fireworks party. It's always so much fun to get everyone together and get to catch up. This is the only time of the year that everyone comes together. I know, usually, you'd think it would be Christmas or something, nope, it's Fourth of July!
Of course, Patrick had great food. The guests supplied the side dishes and fireworks. This year, instead of Jason being "Bubble Daddy", he play water guns with all the kids. He is definitely my "big kid". He even gets cranky if he doesn't get enough sleep, or is you don't feed him on time. That's why I love him!
The guys threw together a great fireworks show, as always. Patrick made an announcement that our "family" has grown too much. He ran out of room, and is passing this tradition on to Dylan. Every year, there are more and more kids, it's great to see how the family grows. I am so happy to be apart of this family. Thanks everyone for getting together every year!

Fifth Anniversary

Just after dinner, we need dessert!

My beautiful ring!

This last Saturday was our fifth anniversary. I started out the day by getting up early and heading to the gym for my 50 minute cycle class. After taking a shower and cleaning up, I ate breakfast and Jason made his appearance earlier than normal. He wanted to spend more time with me since it was a special day. We just spent the rest of the day watching movies and relaxing. We don't really get the chance to just relax together (while we're both awake).
Our dinner reservations were at 7pm, so we started to get ready about 6pm. I never get dressed up. Jason actually gets dressed up more than I do. He never sees me anything other than gym clothes or my pj's. Seeing me dressed up was a nice look for me, according to Jason (and I do have to agree).
We headed out to Crush 29 for our dinner. We were completely over dressed, but I didn't really care. Everyone was in shorts and sandals. Oh well, we looked good and we were getting the looks to prove to us. Dinner was pretty good, but I think the service and food has gone down hill since the last time we were there (2 years ago). It was still a really nice dinner, and neither of u had to cook or clean up. That's always a nice thing!
We took a peek at their dessert menu, but nothing really spoke to us. So, we did the only option possible. We went to the Cheesecake Factory. I was carving something a sundae and Jason wanted cheesecake. We both had a GREAT dessert. They went well with Jason's white Russian and my mocha. After we stuffed our faces, we headed back home for more movie time. What a great way to end great night.
I almost forgot about the most important part. I know you're suppose to save presents for last, but we were eager (mostly Jason). I always take off my rings when I take a shower (they get stuck in my hair). On Friday, I got out of the shower, and my promise ring was missing. I asked Jason where it went, and he just started smiling and couldn't really answer. That's when he pulled out a little black box from his night stand. Inside was the most beautiful ring. It has five diamonds (one for every year we've been married). I can't wait until our 25th wedding anniversary!! I love my ring so much. It was so sad to see it go bye-bye when I took it to get sized the next morning. I miss it so much, and I barely even had it. I want it back. I can't believe it takes two weeks for it to get sized. My poor baby all alone so early on. I can't wait until next weekend! I gave Jason this PC game he had been wanting. Of course, he has already beat he game. Luckily, he said he can do a lot more with the game.
If you couldn't tell, or didn't know, I have the best husband a woman could ask for!
