Jason grew up in Orangevale, Ca. He went to high school at Casa Roble, and went into the Navy after graduating. He came back and enrolled at Sac State. He now works for the Government and enjoys gaming with his friends.

Michele grew up in Orangevale and also went to high school at Casa Roble. She enrolled at Sierra College. She is now a Graphic Designer and enjoys running and training for races.

Even though we grew up in the same town and went to the same high school, 9 years separate us. We never crossed paths (that we are aware of) and are glad that we met. You may wonder how we met...

We were both at a Sac State party (as I mentioned, I didn't go there, but Jason did). He came over and made his move. He had just enough time to get my phone number before the cops came to break up the party.

A few weeks later, a guy called me trying to convince me that we met at that party. I didn't quit remember giving him my number. I agreed to meet at a public place and we hit it off from there. I don't think we've spent more that 24 hours without at least talking to each other. We've only been apart for something work related. we wouldn't change anything!

After 6 years of dating, Jason asked me to go backpacking with him for the weekend. I hadn't gone backpacking since I was a kid, but I loved getting dirty outside and hiking around. Of course, I jumped at the chance. We brought our 6 month old puppy with us (what were we thinking) and had so much fun. Our mission of this trip was to hike Castle Peak. I had a tough time with it. But, once we reached the top, it was worth it! Jason had another plan of his own. As I turned away from the awesome view, he was down on one knee asking me to spend our lief together forever! I think I started crying (with a huge smile on my face) and said "YES!!!". Eleven months later, we said "I do".
