Today I started volunteering. I really do enjoy doing it and have missed it for a while. I filled out all the paper work, took the online quizzes, and passed the background check. The Special Olympics are having their soccer tournament this weekend. I've signed up to help out. This morning, I was a score keeper and met a lot of really nice athletes. It was really nice to help out. I can't wait to go back tomorow!

ReplyDeletethat's great you've signed up and are volunteering. we have a special olympic worker whose story about realizing how much s.o. athletes are truly athletes has made her story a finalist in the Mutual of Omaha, aha moment effort. if enough people vote for her she'll be featured in the 2010 ad campaign.
